The Boy Scouts of America will reconsider its decades-long ban on allowing gay members and leaders in the organization at its national executive board meeting next week. If lifted, local troops will be able to decide for themselves whether gays can participate.

The annual Boy Scout Klondike Derby scheduled for tomorrow at Trailside Nature and Science Center in Mountainside has been rescheduled for next Saturday, Feb. 16.
The Boy Scouts of America Patriots Path Council, Munsee District, includes scouts from: Clark, Cranford, Elizabeth, Hillside, Kenilworth, Linden, Rahway, Roselle, Roselle Park, Springfield, Union, and Winfield Park.
