Dayton Basketball Beats Waldwick, Advances to State Championship

The Bulldogs will now face Point Pleasant Beach on Sunday, playing to win what would be the first championship title in program history.

 

The Dayton Bulldogs defeated Waldwick, 36-32, on Thursday night in East Orange, advancing to the state championship.

They will now face Point Pleasant Beach on Sunday at the Rutgers Athletic Center in Piscataway, playing to earn the first championship title in the program's history. 

Elijah Brown led the scoring with 12 points, followed by Anthony Cioffi and Jared Clayton, who had seven points each.

Dayton previously made it to the championship game in 2011, where they were defeated by Asbury Park.
