The 5th-seeded Dayton girls' basketball team defeated 4th-seeded Dunellen Thursday night in the quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA Group 1 State Tournament, according to nj.com.
Dayton improves to 17-9 this season after the 54-35 victory, while Dunellen falls to 17-10, according to nj.com.
Up next: Dayton will face 1st-seeded Secaucus on Saturday, Mar. 2 at 12 p.m.
