Is Christie the Right Choice for Veep?
Several polls out this week indicate that he is a strong choice, especially among people in the Northeast.
Speculation is running high on who Mitt Romney will pick for his vice president.
And it appears at NJ Gov. Chris Christie, set for a visit to Springfield next week, is high on the list.
Several polls out this week show former Secretary of State Condeleeza Rice, rival Rick Santorum and Gov. Christie as voter favorites to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. Also among consideration, is Florida Sen. Marco Rubio. A Quinnipiac poll but Christie as the lead choice.
According to another poll, it's already a tight race between Obama and Romney, who have hit the campaign trail to woo voters.
Could the ticket of Romney/Christie give the GOP hopeful the edge he needs to beat the incumbent president?
What do you think?

If we could see Governor Christie siding on behalf of the taxpayers, the 99%, he could balance and strengthen a ticket with Romney. There's no way a clear thinking working-class taxpayer can identify with Romney, but Christie comes across as one of us, attitude and all. The recent Tax Day demonstrations in Newark at the Prudential building raised concerns about Christie's stand on corporate welfare. The $250.8Million tax cut for Prudential to build a new corporate headquarters is getting plenty of attention and criticism by the left and the right. Is he "Gov. 1%" as one placard read? We want to see where he stands. Will he give public money to the Billionaires at Prudential? Yes, Christie would be the best choice - the balance - for Romney. Even though I'm a Democrat, I might go for Christie as President in 2016. He could curtail some of the criticism against him for his corporate welfare deals by stopping Prudential from getting the tax cuts.

It is hard for me to imagine how any thinking individual would want Christie representing us to the world at large. He is a bully and an embarrassment to the state of NJ.

That has been Christie's agenda since he was voted in to run the "Garden State"! I've never seen such an "absent" Govenor since Christine Todd Whitman! He was voted in by the people to "fix" Nj. It has been more important for Chrristie to travel the country and politic for the Republcans and be an "Ambassador" instead of doing the job he was hired to do. Clean up the "Garbage State"! But Christie has no agenda? I agree totally with Holly W. But you need to add a few things. He is also a thug, a liar and he likes to throw his "weight" around. Is Christie the "Good Catholic" he claims to be? While he travels abroad, NJ & it's people continue to deteriorat and suffer. If I had the opportunity to visit NJ, I'd pass because of the disgusting state NJ is in with it's roads torn up, litter strewn roadways, and overgrown medians. What a shame!

When Christie was running for Govenor he stated he was going to go to Trenton & "clean house". He did get rid of some wasteful spending, but many of his cronies who are assistants to assistants being paid $135,000+ a year salary! That's wasteful spending! Govenor Christie wants to save NJ money and not pay road workers OT, there is simple solution to take care of that. Many states implement it. Most of NJ's State & County jails are overcrowded. Taxpayers fund the majority of the inmates food, clothing, medical/dental, free schooling(convicts can get their BA/BS Colllege degrees) free via the State when low-income have a tough time getting enough Student Loan $ to even get a chance to even go! Inmates are even paid a minimal salary by the State so they can put $ in an account to buy "goodies" & put a roof over ther heads while the States unemployment rate & homelessnes continues to rise! The State should use the thousands

Cont., of the States inmates to go out daily with the Guards that are normally assigned to them & have them clean up the tons of litter & have them help repair torn up roads & help clean up medians, off-ramps, & u-turns that look like jungles! It is NOT CRUEL & UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT!!
