Recycling collection services will increase from every other week to every Wednesday, effective this Wednesday, Jan. 2.
In addition, you now do not have to separate your recyclable paper products from recyclable glass, plastic and cans—you can now mix or co-mingle different types of recyclable materials into one container. This collection method is easier for residents and referred to as single—stream recycling.
Every Wednesday recycling collection and you can mix recyclable materials into one single stream and container.

When it comes to big contracts like garbage collection or any financial matter, it's a little disconcerting to know the newly elected Democratic Committeeman David Barnett can't really be trusted. Backdating contracts? Misleading auditors? "Barnett is additionally charged with misleading TheStreet’s auditor to believe that the subsidiary had performed services to earn revenue on a specific transaction when in fact it did not perform the services." This is crazy - we have our very own Madoff here in Springfield.

Thank you stephen for bringing this to Sprinfield residents' attention. I find it curious that this was kept out of the news until after the election. Yet another fraud committed by David Barnett - misleading the residents of Springfield. Do the residents of Springfield have any legal means of removing him from office?
