Photos: New Jersey Council for the Humanities Book Presentation

Library receives book award for permanent collection.

Earlier this month, the was awarded the twenty-second annual New Jersey Council for the Humanities Book Award Collection.

The collection is a set of thirty three titles that demonstrate the extraordinary breadth of the humanities and the insights of gifted authors. The books, valued at over $600, will become part of Springfield Library's permanent collection. A formal presentation of the collection took place at the library on Monday, Nov. 1. 

NJCH's board of trustees member Sondra Fishinger made the presentation. Springfield elected officials, Springfield Library Board of Trustee members, Friends of the Library and staff members attended the reception.
