Since most residents of Springfield don't know the specifics regarding funding for road repair and improvements, its very easy for the current mayor to make a comment about increasing the funding and making himself and his fellow Republicans look good. But the fact is that in 2007, while Ken Faigenbaum was mayor, the TC increased the funding for road improvements by almost double what had previously been allocated. The increase was proposed by the TC member Steven Grau and voted in the affirmative by the entire TC (3 Democrats). In addtion, Shehady was mayor in 2010, so does that mean he didn't allcoate sufficient funding during that year or is he just inaccurately talking about everyone else?

MAYOR MELTDOWN!!! Tonight I watched in disbelief to the broadcast of this meeting. The Mayor was out of control. He belittled another committeeman by telling him to "grow up", raised his voice and continued to interrupt committeemen and residents who opposed or question him. The township attorney was also disrespectful, having a condescending attitude when a resident pointed out he wasn't doing his job as the parliamentarian. This meeting was out of control. I have respect for the Mayor for trying to do what he thinks is best, but the little guy is just too immature to be where he is.

Remember that famous quote, "you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time".
People are starting to find out what he's really like, instead of the facade he puts up while campaigning.
