Springfield Public Schools to Close on Monday and Tuesday

Schools continue to be closed due to Hurricane Sandy.

After five days of staying at home without power, many Springfield students have taken to social media to express their surprising dissapointment at the lack of school.

Unfortunately, their patience is going to be tested further.

Springfield School officials announced today that schools would be closed on Monday, Nov. 5 and Tuesday, Nov. 6. Springfield Schools Superintendent Michael Davino said that the schools will open as soon as possible.

"We don't have any information that says we will have power before Wednesday," Davino said.

He said that plans to make up the missed school days were not yet set.
