Springfield Releases Emergency Message Through UCFirstAlert
Schools and municipal offices closed; trick 'r' treating canceled.
Springfield Office of Emergency Management Coordinator Scott Seidel sent out the following message on the Union County First Alert System.

Springfield Municipal Offices and Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday.
Halloween activities have been suspended until further notice. Ban on non essential travel remains in effect due to energized power lines and fallen trees.
