St. James Student Spreads Holiday Cheer to Shelter Animals

Fifth grader collected food for pets.

Madison Wright, a 5th grader at St. James the Apostle School, didn't want anybody to miss out on the holiday spirit, four legs or two, so she organized a pet products collection in her school class.

In the spirit of giving, her classmates donated cans of pet food, biscuits and various toys. Madison delivered the items to the Union Township Animal Shelter in Union, just in time for Christmas.
