Springfield Mayor Ziad Shehady was sporting a different look than usual at the Tuesday, Nov. 13 Township Committee meeting. 

In honor of the monthlong charity event "Movember," Shehady accented his upper lip with a thicket of black hairs.   His mustache and the many moustaches like it have been grown to raise vital awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.

While the mustache granted the Mayor a palpable Freddy Mercury-esque elan, he tried to distance himself from what he referred to as "the ridiculous thing on my face."

"You won't see it in December," he said.
