Walton School Holds Food Drive

School collecting donations until mid-November.

 

Walton School is collecting food for the Food Bank of NJ in a contest to help the hungry. The food drive runs until Nov. 16. The school that donates the most food (based on weight) and has good school spirit and active participation will be nominated for the prestigious Governor's Cup.

The most needed items are as follows:

  • Canned fish
  • Canned meats
  • Boxed meals
  • Pasta
  • Pasta sauce (no glass please)
  • Rice
  • Canned soup
  • Canned gravy
  • Mac & cheese
  • Peanut butter (no glass)
  • Jelly (no glass)
  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned fruit
  • Granola snacks
  • Cereal
  • Shelf-stable (non-refrigerated) juice and milk

They ask that no glass, cellophane, bottled water, soda or baby food be donated. See the attached form for more information.
