Your Week Ahead: Town Meetings, Formal Parties and More

A look ahead at notable goings on in the township this week.

 

Monday

The Sarah Bailey Center hosts a day of bingo for area seniors starting at 1 p.m.

The Springfield Recreation Department hosts their Swim Team Program Special Meeting at 7 p.m. at the Sarah Bailey Civic Center, 30 Church Mall Springfield. 

The Environmental Commission holds their monthly meeting tonight at town hall at 8 p.m. 

The Springfield Schools Board of Education meets at 7:30 p.m. at Dayton High School. 

Tuesday

Springfield’s Township Committee holds its regular meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at town hall.

Wednesday

ARC of Union County hosts a free health fair at their headquarters at 52 Fadem Road beginning at 10 a.m. Groups including the Red Cross and the Trinitas Regional Medical Center offer free detection and preventive health screenings, blood pressure reading, hearing tests and more. 

The annual Dayton choir concert is at 7 p.m. tonight at the high school. 

Thursday

Springfield will be awash in dresses, tuxes, limos and corsages tonight. It’s Dayton’s prom.

Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael hosts "Chat & Chill,” a group for new parents to meet others and share tips and stories about raising children at 9:30 a.m. 

Friday 

Chabad of Union County hosts a “Caffeine for the Soul” discussion at Barnes & Noble on Route 22. 

The Library offers "Storycraft with Ariel" for children ages 3-7 at 4 p.m.

Springfield Schools are closed for Memorial Day weekend.
