Hanson Park Conservancy is a nonprofit organization made up of Cranford citizens dedicated to overhauling Hanson Park and restoring the Cranford Canoe Club. The conservancy holds events to raise money and educate the public about environmental concerns and solutions. Over the summer, the group hosted a beginning birding class, a hunt for spring wildflowers and a leisurely "walk and talk" from Hanson Park to Nomahegan and Lenape parks.
