Saint Francis Veterinary Center will host an adoption event, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA), from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 1, 2014. The event will take place at Saint Francis Veterinary Center’s facility, located at 392 Kings Highway, Woolwich Township, NJ.
A variety of pets, including dogs and cats of various breeds and ages, will be available for adoption at the event. Individuals interested in adopting should bring two forms of identification, proof of address and proof of pet-friendly facilities if relevant, and an adoption application, available on the PSPCA website and at the Saint Francis Veterinary Center facility.
“We strongly encourage anyone who is thinking of adding a pet to their family to come out to our event and consider adoption,” said Julie Hirsch-Fitzpatrick, Chief Operating Officer at Saint Francis Veterinary Center. “We have so many loving animals that truly deserve a second chance and want to become part of a family andwe hope to find a home for each animal at this event.”
PSCPA’s adoption fees are $75 for medium to large sized mix breed dogs over one year old, $300 for dogs under 35 pounds, pure breeds and puppies, $50 for cats over six months, and $75 for kittens. All adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, microchip, ID tag, and vaccines. Cash, checks, and credit cards are acceptable payment options.
Potential pet owners and animal lovers are encouraged to attend the event to interact with the animals available for adoption. An onsite facilitator is available to discuss the adoption process with anyone who is interested. Monetary and item donations, including new and gently-used toys, blankets, treats and other pet items are also appreciated, and will be accepted at the event.
