Okay fashionista’s, if you are missing this versatile piece, go get one immediately! The denim jacket is definitely a year round staple but I’m using mine so much right now, with the weather going back and forth from cool to warm. It matches everything and goes with every look, so it’s a total no-brainer for someone on the go, such as me.
There are so many variations I’m seeing out there right now, that make it fresh. I have the classic dark fitted version and love to pair it with anything from a maxi dress or skirt to wearing it over a long top with leggings. Lately though, I have been noticing the denim jacket in white, lighter shades of denim for spring, some two-tone ones with black sleeves and even in the vest version for a fun twist. I am definitely going to have to pick up another option this season. Too cute and functional to pass up!
The denim jacket is the Spring/Summer version of the blazer or the leather moto jacket, so even though it’s a more casual piece, it can really tie your outfit together as well. Some other outfit options are pairing it with white or black skinny capris. Just keep your denims or colors coordinating and not the same shade. Otherwise it gives it an 80’s/90’s vibe, that you might not be trying to achieve! Pairing it with a knee length A-line or a fuller floral dress can give the outfit more relaxed feel- great for summer Bar-B-Ques. You can go out of the box and pair it with a pencil skirt for a similar more casual effect with that piece.

I love that I can grab my denim jacket for a night out in the summer, whether I’m in the city or at the beach. It is the perfect weight of a layer and like I said will go with just about everything. I am definitely headed to get that second one, so I can keep one in my car this season and replace my cardigans for a much needed change!
