WCEC to Provide Customer Service Training to Lincoln Technical Institute Employees

The Women’s Center for Entrepreneurship Corporation (WCEC), continues its “We’re Storming Back” Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief Program with a free customer service training session at Lincoln Technical Institute (LTI), in Paramus, N.J., on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. The training session is specifically designed for LTI employees and will focus on customer service skills and techniques that can be applied in various workplace situations. The workshop will help employees to sharpen their skills and learn best practices, to ensure that they are modeling these skills to their students and providing them with the proper education and foundation for securing and maintaining employment in their chosen field.

Funded by a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the WCEC’s We’re Storming Back program provides the two-hour customer service training session free of charge to various New Jersey small businesses to provide them with the resources and tools to rebuild and recover from Hurricane Sandy, and to ensure a successful, long-term future.

“Many of our students and staff were personally affected by the storm’s devastation, resulting in flooding, transportation issues, curfews, and more,” said Laurie Pringle, Executive Director of Lincoln Technical Institute. “Our students are in job skills training programs, and the sooner they graduate, the sooner they can get to work, but Sandy caused cancellation, delays of classes, and some students even had to withdraw.”
