Car Wash Saturday Benefits Springfield First Aid Squad

A rain date is set for Sunday.

The Springfield First Aid Squad is hosting its annual car wash fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in front of the squad house at 10 North Trivett Avenue.

A minimum donation of $10 for a car and $15 for a van or sport utility vehicle is appreciated

Anyone who brings a printout of the flyer pictured above will receive a $1 discount. All proceeds will benefit the non-profit EMS organization and its mission to provide 24/7 Emergency Services to Springfield residents and businesses.

On its website, the Springfield First Aid Squad noted “donations from residents and businesses are critical as we have expenses involving vehicle and equipment purchases & maintenance, training, and supplies.”  Additionally, “the Squad also hires per-diem EMT employees to supplement our volunteer workforce and ensure round-the-clock coverage of our town’s EMS needs.”

A raindate is set for Sunday.
