By signing up for Wowbrary, a free, non-profit service, library patrons will receive free, weekly emails alerting them to latest books, DVDs and CDs. Bestsellers can be reserved instantly. Wowbrary keeps users' email addresses private, according to its site. Those who frequent more than one library can sign up for more than one newsletter.
A handmade handbag and shoe exhibition began Monday at the Springfield Public Library. From 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, a short demonstration on the handbag and shoe-making process will be held. Food and beverages will be served.
