Dayton Grad's Art Show Opens, The Ice Hut Gives Back

Here's a look at the stories Springfield Patch will be covering this week.

Artist Stephen Chase Cohen, a Dayton High School graduate, celebrates his first exhibition at Van Gogh's Ear Café in Union. Painting under the name 'Stove,' Cohen's love of cartooning led him to pursue a degree in animation at Penn State University.

In June, The Ice Hut hosted 'Alex's Lemonade Stand' to support research and awareness of childhood cancers. On Friday, the frozen treat shop turned into a caberet for 'Autism Sings: A Night of Song,' with a portion of proceeds being donated to Autism Speaks. Find out what's in store next as The Ice Hut continues its charitable endeavors.

See how the turf field at Jonathan Dayton High School is getting into shape in time for football season.
