IIDA Fashion Meets Finish: Raw Design Event at Kean University

On May 17th, The International Interior Design
Association (IIDA), PA/NJ/DE chapter’s New Jersey City Center will host their
Fashion Meets Finish:  Raw Design
Event.  The best and brightest, local
architecture and interior design firms (and some up-and-coming students) will
pair up with material manufacturers to create wearable art down a red carpet
runway at Kean University’s STEM Building. 
Working with materials like contract carpet, upholstery fabric, vinyl
wall covering, wood veneers, ceiling systems, and commercial furniture, these
talented designers will deconstruct, mold, and reconfigure the materials they
work with every day into an artistic fashion statement. 

Over three hundred attendees will experience this over the
top fashion show with one-of-a-kind creative designs from chic to shock, a red
carpet photo shoot with media coverage, 50/50, raffles, original paintings from
our featured artist, give away swag bags, THE MC Silent Knight & DJ
Dyllemma, an awards ceremony, and of course an after party at Urisino
Restaurant.

The event will award the Kean University Interior Design
Department with a financial gift and support its up and coming IIDA Student
Campus Center.
