Martini Mixer and Mixed Nuts

 Hosted by Doug Adler, self proclaimed “kinda hip jewboy,” “Mixed Nuts” is a night of comedy with one-of-a kind humor and middle-aged Jewish comedy. New Jersey native Linda Belt explores marriage, sex, parenting, social mores and all other absurdities of modern life in her set. Her seven year path from open mic nights to headlining earns her spot as one of the funniest women you’ll see on stage.

 Joining her is comedy genius Joanne Filan. Joanne has hosted and headlined clubs such as Carolines, Stand Up New York, Gotham Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, The Laugh Factory and The Comedy Cellar. She is a graduate of the American Comedy Institute of stand up comedy and The Upright Citizen’s Brigade of improvisational comedy. Check her out at upstreamcomedy.com. Joanne tells us she finds inspiration for her comedy just by living life. “Whether it’s talking with my family, my day job or my friends/relationships—there is always something funny happening,” she tells us.

 You may also recognize “Gregory the Russian” who will be joining the night activities. Greg Korostishevsky’s comedy and acting career in America took form after he recovered from culture shock post immigration from the Soviet Union. He has appeared on various TV shows including ED, 30 Rock, David Letterman and Conan O’Brien. He has also appeared in several movies.

 The night kicks off with a martini mixer by Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael’s Exquisite Affairs Caterers before the main event. Tickets are $40 at the door. Questions can be directed to 973-376-0539.
