Springfield Kids Featured in Upcoming Front & Center Shows

42nd Street to feature talented Springfield youth.

Springfield students are slapping on their dancing shoes.

From Friday, Jan. 25 through Sunday, Jan. 27, Springfield's Front & Center for Performing Arts presents the classic song and dance-fest 42nd Street at the Ridge Performing Arts Center in Basking Ridge on 268 South Finley Avenue. 

Based on a 1933 film musical 42nd Street is a big, bold musical about fresh performers chasing their dreams on Broadway.

Front & Center’s talented Junior and Senior Performing Arts Company's will perform 42nd Street on Friday, January 25 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Jan.29, at 1:30 p.m. The cast features Springfield residents Athena Bernaz, Eila Francis, Kylie Francis, Jackie Nese, Nathalie Neuhaus, Juliana Pica, Dahlia Schraeder and Michael Wang.

This year’s show, produced by Page O’Connor, with artistic direction by Renee Palermo, and choreography by Julie Lira, features 82 of Front & Center’s young performers ranging in age from 6 to 18. Tickets are $20 and $25 and can be purchased online at www.ridgepac.com. They can also be purchased at the door.
