A sea of Bulldogs fans, all dressed in orange, ran for their cars amid pouring rain upon hearing that the long-awaited ribbon-cutting ceremony has been canceled.
Initially, lightning caused a 30-minute delay but as it continued and the sky grew darker, the event was canceled.
At this time officials are saying the game will be played at 4 p. m. Friday and the ceremony will be postponed. In light of tomorrow's holiday, some fans said it would be inappropriate to hold the game tomorrow.
