Readers' Choice: Vote for Your Favorite Mechanic/Auto Repair Shop

Patch readers nominated the best of Springfield, so vote to determine which one is the Readers’ Choice 2012 winner.

Where can you find the best car mechanic in town?

Cast your vote to let us know.

Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who knows about the area to participate.

Nominations were accepted through July 9 and include:

T&C Shell on Mountain Avenue
on Morris Ave.

Winners in all Readers' Choice categories will be announced on Aug. 24.

The poll will open to accept votes from registered Patch users starting on July 23 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 17.

I want to nominate T&C Shell on Mountain Avenue in Springfield because the owner, Terry, has been over 40 years since returning home from the Navy in the 1970's and has owned his own business for the past 31 years! He is an honest, hard working mechanic that has proven his excellence time and time again to the people of Springfield who rely upon his services daily.

TC Shell is the best. Terry is honest and hard working. His prices are reasonable and he does great work. Always accommodating and looks out for his customers.

Pacifico Brothers on Morris Ave. Frank and Aldo are very professional, as well as great guys. They have also sold two of my cars, as they knew what kind of condition the cars were in.

There is no better mechanic in town than Terry at T & C shell. He's honest, reliable and his price is fair. - every thing you would want in an auto mechanic

T&C shell by far, my family have been loyal customers for years and terry is the most honest and best all around mechanic you,ll find in the area, small jobs or big they take care of it with the upmost pride in their work

I've been taking my cars to T&C Shell for over 10 years and my parents years before that. Terry and recently hired technician Matt make a great team at always the fairest prices in town from a simple tire plug to a rebuilt engine in my grandfathers truck. For gas and repairs hands down the best in town.

T & C, no question. Terry runs a great shop and Matt is the best young mechanic to come along in ages. They are accomodating and thye pricing is very fair. What more can you ask.

I third the nomination for T&C Shell.
Terry runs one of the last of the truly "local" auto repair shops! He is Always packed with cars being worked on and puts in Very long days/weeks. His young 2nd Mechanic Matt is extremely professional as well and runs it just as Terry does. They "care about the people & the cars".
