Shabbat Under the Stars With Barbecue Dinner, September 9, 2011 - Temple Sha’arey Shalom, Register Now!

Remember the days of cookouts and sing-alongs?  Temple Sha’arey Shalom of Springfield invites the community to join us for a special outdoor Shabbat service and dinner on Friday, September 9, 2011.  Our second annual Shabbat Under the Stars will begin with a barbecue picnic dinner featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, sides and desserts, starting at 6:30pm.  The service, led by Rabbi Joshua Goldstein and Cantor Amy Daniels, will begin at 7:30pm.  We will worship together and celebrate our spirit of community under the stars of a warm September night.  Please bring blankets and lawn chairs for your comfort. 

Temple Sha’arey Shalom’s Shabbat Under the Stars costs $5 per person, with a $20 maximum per family for dinner.  If you’re not hungry, please consider joining us for the service, open to all!  Registration is required.  Send a check, payable to “Temple Sha’arey Shalom” with a notation of “Shabbat Under the Stars” to the temple office at 78 South Springfield Avenue, Springfield, NJ  07081.  Be sure to include your family name, number of people attending, phone number and email address.  For more information, contact the temple office at (973)379-5387 or at office@shaarey.org.
