Handmade Handbag and Shoe Exhibition Comes to Library

A short demonstration will be held on Sunday, Jan. 12.

Have an idea in your head of what your ideal purse or shoe might look like? When you're unable to find it, have you considered trying to design it yourself?

Students from the New Jersey School of Fashion Design and Accessories, owned and operated by Springfield resident Jennifer Siletski, will display their handmade creations at the Springfield Public Library.

The exhibit begins Monday, Jan. 6, and runs through Friday, Feb. 7. From 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, a short demonstration on the handbag and shoe-making process will be held. Food and beverages will be served.

Siletski, a fourth-generation artisan, who received her formal education at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Parsons School of Design, the New York School of Interior Design, and the Arts Student League, holds degrees in Textile Design, Accessories Design and Fine Arts.

To attend, RSVP jenn@nyfashionaccessoriescamp.com. For more information, visit the New Jersey School of Fashion Design and Accessories website.
