Library Names Winners of Annual Photography Contest

Contestants took shots of Springfield.

The and have awarded prizes to several Springfield shutterbugs for their images of township scenes in the Second Annual Photography contest.

Contestants were asked to take pictures of images of Springfield. The interpretation of that rule varied pretty widely. Some pictures feature instantly recognizable local landmarks like Dayton High School, while others are nature scenes and portraits.

The winners in the Adult Category were (in order of finish):

  • Evan Wasserman "High School."

The winners in the Student category were:

  • Brian DiFiore "Splash"
  • Nico Izzi-Dayton "Crown
  • Julia Delbecchi "Springfield Times."

Also participating in the Adult category were Harriet Tesse, Ellen Bloom, Patricia Delbecchi and Mark Wilkenfeld. The Student Category included Daniel B. Stein, Nicola Paya, Julianna Ginefra, Nick Pearl, Jared Clayton, Joel Fernandez, Sebrina Ghanny and Thea Katerina Gojo Cruz.

The photos will be on display in the Donald B. Palmer Museum at the Springfield Library until Jan. 5. The viewing times are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Friday are from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please note that the library .
