Springfield App to Launch in September

Soon Springfield residents will be able to access plenty of information about the township through a new app being developed by the Business Improvement District (BID).

At Tuesday evening's Township Committee meeting, the BID presented its plans for the app. Beth Lippman of the BID explained that it will roll out to businesses before it becomes available to residents. Business owners will receive a letter in July asking them to test it out and supply feedback before its townwide launch in September.

Some of the key features of the Springfield BID App, as described by the BID, are:

Directory - Find just what you’re looking for under any category - Restaurants, 

Shops, and Service Providers - Everything!

Parking - Find parking downtown easily with this great tool.

Events - Keep in touch with what’s going on around town.

Deals - Get great deals and coupons and local business offerings.

Alerts - Don’t miss important town notifications and announcements. Allow push notifications to keep you up-to-date with the latest. 

Connect - Comment on events and photos and share them with your friends when you connect through Facebook and Twitter.
