Dayton Student Wins Comcast Foundation Scholarship

Senior Natalie Zavis receives $1,000 scholarship through cable company's annual Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program.

Congratulations to Natalie Zavis. The Dayton Senior is one of 83 New Jersey high school students to be awarded a $1,000 scholarships through the Comcast Foundation's annual Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program. 

According to a May 16 press release announcing the winners, the award recognizes students who "strive to achieve their potential, who are catalysts for positive change in their communities, who are involved in their schools, and who serve as models for their fellow students."  

The scholarship winners were recognized by New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno and state legislators in a special event on Tuesday at the Trenton war memorial.
