Dayton Trunk or Treat Rescheduled for Nov. 17

Original date missed because of Sandy, but fundraising event is back on.

The Springfield School's annual Trunk or Treat is back, only with a different date and a new nickname.

The fundraising day of candy and costumes was postponed from its original date, Oct. 28, by inclement weather in the lead-up to Hurricane Sandy. Now, along with other township Halloween celebrations, it will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 17 at noon at the Dayton parking lot.

Because the new date is so close to Thanksgiving, organizer Jodi Silverstein joked in an email that the event could be called a trick 'n' turkey. But despite the change of dates, the features remain the same.  Original reservation with be honored and cars will be accepted at the door!
