Devils Announcer Matt Loughlin Visits Sandmeier

New Jersey Devils play-by-play announcer Matt Loughlin visited Thelma L. l earlier this month.
The March 9 program, which consisted of an introductory video, a verbal presentation and a spirited Q&A session, emphasized that education, goal-setting and commitment to excellence are essential elements for success in all aspects of life.
The program also featured a message highlighting the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, how to avoid the dangers of alcohol and drugs and how participation in team oriented events helps you develop a strong character and stay fit. Loughlin, a resident of Westfield, kept the children's interest throughout the 45-minute program as he talked about the importance of pursuing one's dream. The event was brought to the school by the Sandmeier PTA.
