Support the hockey team, learn about your community and more...

  1. Evidently Springfield is not only historic; it’s charismatic as well. At least that’s how the township is described on a new township tour video on the Township’s website.  The video, which employed the expertise of Springfield resident and Patch videographer Jeremy Kovacs, gives a tour of a number of Township sites and businesses. Scroll down to the bottom left of the Towsnhip’s site to watch.
  2. And speaking of Springfield’s sites, the Cannonball House is going to take part in Union County’s 13th annual “Four Centuries in a Weekend: A Journey through Union County History. The free weekend tour of 25 historic sites will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 17, from noon to 5:00 p.m.
  3. While the Cannonball House isn’t changing, other Springfield properties may be. The township Planning board meets tonight at 7:30 p.m. in town hall.
  4. Don't forget; Oct. 12 is the last day to register to vote. For more information about voting registration options, check out the Union County Clerk's section of the County Website.
  5. Local business owners: looking to support Dayton’s hockey team? They are currently looking for advertisers for their Game Program. Money goes towards team practice time, uniforms and equipment. Get in touch with the folks behind the hockey program through the hockey team’s website.
