Big day for the pool and more...

  1. All this week, the Library hosts a book swap for kids and teens where unwanted books are for new (well, "gently used") ones.
  2. Everbody knows that people from Springfield love rock and/or roll. So be sure to check out local band Youth Gone Grey at McLynn's on Saturday, June 18.
  3. It's only gonna get hotter. The Springfield public pool holds extended today to help beat the summer heat. 
  4. Speaking of the pool; the Soccer Club of Springfield holds its annual picnic tonight, beginning at 5, at the Springfield Pool. See photos from last year .
  5. Every Friday night, Springfield's Barnes and Noble offers chess classes for children ages 6-8 and ages 9-13.
