- Today, Springfield's opens for the season. From 12 to 6 p.m. every Monday afternoon, vendors will offer fresh produce and more. Today, the location changes to Ruby Field, where the weekly market will stay for the rest of the season.
- The library hosts the first session of their job readiness program . Non-computer users can gain a basic understanding of the PC component and operations in Microsoft Windows.
- U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance's district offices in Westfield and Flemington are accepting food, clothing, household cleaning supplies and other items to assist flood victims in Union, Hunterdon, Middlesex and Somerset counties. .
- The regional health board has posted the month's schedule for flu shots. The board provides inoculations in Springfield on Sept. 29; full schedule on the official township site.
- Springfield's Township Committee resumes its regular weekly meeting schedule tomorrow night at 7:30 at town hall.
