Running, trash pick ups and more...

  1. Springfield will pick up bulk waste from homes tomorrow and Sept. 23 to accommodate homeowners affected by hurricane Irene. Construction material and debris such as sheet rock, lumber, pipe and panelling will be accepted. More information here
  2. now for Sprint for Springfield Schools, an Oct. run benefiting Township Schools. 
  3. Springfield Seniors are hosting a day trip to Mount Airy Casino today.  All  will be traveling by bus from the Sarah Bailey Center. Tickets are $25 for the bus ride and $40 for the bus and a show. 
  4. U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance's district offices in Westfield and Flemington are accepting food, clothing, household cleaning supplies and other items to assist flood victims in Union, Hunterdon, Middlesex and Somerset counties. .
  5. The regional health board has posted the month's schedule for flu shots. The board provides inoculations in Springfield on Sept. 29; full schedule on the official township site.
