NJ.com Forums: Shehady Gets the Chuck Norris Treatment
Springfield's Mayor is bestowed with mythic attributes.
Chuck Norris and Springfield Mayor Ziad Shehady have a couple things in common. Both are Republican. Both have military associations (Shehady is an active member of the National Guard and Chuck Norris starred in the Missing in Action film cycle).
And now they both have fanciful internet lists in their honor. A couple years ago, Chuck Norris facts, which ascribed impossible attributes to the Walker Texas Ranger star, became an internet phenomenon. And yesterday, some wag on the NJ.com forums put up a short list of similarly themed claims about Shehady, including "Ziad Shehady got his drivers license at the age of 16. Seconds."
