Historical documents attract dozens of

Over 40 visitors attended the Cannon Ball House's Presidents' Day display this past weekend, which included correspondence from two presidents in addition to the musuem's regular features.

In honor of Presidents' Day Weekend, the museum displayed the handwriting specimens from two presidents, George Washington and Herbert Hoover.

The correspondence by Washington was written in Springfield during the Revolutionary War. While the Washington letter is displayed annually, this was the first time in five years the Hoover letter was exhibited.
