Power Outage Update: Nov 2

Jersey Central Power & Light is reporting they have restored power to just under half the households impacted by the shock October snowstorm. But even with the improvements, a significant number of Springfield homes are without power. 

JCP&L's outage map reports that 1182 Springfield customers lack electricity on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 2. That number is a significant drop from the height of the power loss, which capped out at 2,085 customers reporting they had no power. It's also a major improvement from the previous day, where just over 1,900 households were blacked out.

In a message to his constituents sent out late on Nov. 1, Assemblyman Jon Bramnick, laid out a timetable for power restoration to the district based on information from the power companies. According to the chart, 781 Springfield households should have power restored today and a further 842 should have the lights back on tomorrow.
