The lawsuit over Springfield's 2012 election has ended with Democratic candidate Margaret Bandrowski for Township Committee holding her seat by a three-vote margin.

Power Outages in Springfield Reported After Severe Weather

On Thursday, Jan. 31, Jersey Central Power & Light reported that 892 Springfield customers lost power. In a message on their site, the power company attributes the loss of power "to severe weather that passed through our service territory."

Senator Kean Teams with AAA to Urge Motorists to Prepare for Winter

New Jersey State Senator Tom Kean visited AAA on Route 22 in Springfield to remind motorists to make sure they are prepared for winter driving. Speaking shortly before snow fell on Friday, Jan 25, Kean said that he felt it was important to get the information out to New Jersey drivers.
