Tribute Bands Galore Coming To Union County This Summer

Springsteen cover band Tramps Like Us kick off summer concert series

Union County residents can look forward to a lot of faithful cover versions of classic songs this summer, courtesy of the County government. Bands specializing in recreating the music of Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Santana and more will be playing free performances in Union County's Summer Arts Festival.

The concerts start on June 30 with Springsteen stand-ins "Tramp Like Us," who take the stage at 7:30 p.m. at Echo Lake Park in Mountainside. The concert might go late, as the band apes the Boss's marathon-length shows, blasting classics like Rosalita for three to four hours without taking a break.

If you're in a more psychedelic state of mind, wait until July 7, when Pink Floyd cover band the Machine visits Echo Lake park. The band, who Rolling Stone said replicates the music of Pink Floyd with "chilling accuracy," performs alongside a Pink Floyd-esque light show.
