Week in Review

A look back at the inaugural week of Springfield Patch.

Monday and Tuesday happened, sure. But as far as we're concerned, the week began on Wednesday, with two pieces of big news: the launch of Springfield Patch and the election that saw Chris Christie become New Jersey's next governor and gave the Springfield Township Committee a Republican majority.

We followed up on Thursday with a report on the Jonathan Dayton football team and a look at the artwork currently on display at the library. Also, we spotlighted the successful fundraising efforts of the All for One Fund.

Friday we reported on the Springfield police's joint effort with the Westfield department to arrest a pair of suspects in a string of local home burglaries. And, also, for personal reasons and without ill-will, the Board of Education lost a member.
