Monday

Tuesday

Union County offers  at 7:30 p.m. at Warinanco Park in Elizabeth. In addition to screening the animated movie Puss in Bootsnaturalists from Trailside Nature & Science Center will display pelts, gemstones and other natural wonders found in Union County’s Watchung Reservation. 

Wednesday

The Springfield Seniors host a at Springfield’s municipal pool at 10:30 a.m. 

Every Wednesday evening the Jewish Learning Center hosts a "Torah in our Time"  focusing on Jewish History, tradition, laws and customs and the Talmud and Kabbalah. 

The Union County Summer Arts Festival concert series continues its 52nd season of music with a performance by The Sensational Soul Cruisers at 7:30 p.m. in Echo Lake Park in Mountainside.

Thursday

On August 16, Springfield Seniors will set sail on the River Lady for a luncheon cruise on the calm waters of Barnegat Bay and Tom’s River. . 

The International Film Festival continues at the Springfield Library with Korkoro screening at 1 p.m. and 7 pm.  In Korkoro , a gypsies travel France during World War II, followed by Little Claude, a young boy seeking a family.

Chabad of Union County hosts its “” discussion on the Torah's lessons for family life at Barnes & Noble on Route 22.
