Conference for Caregivers of Individuals Affected by Alzheimer's Disease

This special half-day conference focuses on wellness not only for the person with dementia, but for their caregivers as well. While there is no cure for Alzheimer’s disease, research has shown that taking full advantage of available treatments, and care and support options may help. This conference will provide caregivers with practical information, resources and support.  It is held in conjunction with the Union County Division on Aging, the Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC), the Essex County Department of Citizen Services Division on Aging, and Union County College.  Topics are Alzheimer’s Disease:  Care Management Strategies; Maintaining Your Health While Caregiving; Transitioning to Long-Term Care Settings; and Caregiver Resource Update & Navigating Medicaid.  Visit www.alz.org/nj for more information.
