Spring International Film festival

The Spring International Film Festival continues at the Springfield Free Public Library on Thursday, April 18th. The library will screen Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (2011) at 1:00 and 7:00 p.m. A fisheries expert is approached by a consultant to help realize a sheik's vision of bringing the sport of fly-fishing to the desert and embarks on an upstream journey of faith and fish to prove the impossible, possible. Starring Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt. In English. 107 minutes. Rated PG-13.

The Spring International Film Festival will conclude on May 16th with screenings of As It Is In Heaven.

Funding for the film program has been made possible in part by the NJ State Council on the Arts, Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, through a grant administered by the Union County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs and by the Friends of the Springfield Free Public Library.
