Wharton Music Center (WMC) puts some extra color into spring with the introduction of two new adult classes: a feisty flamenco workshop and a fun piano group class. These eight-week beginner-level classes are designed for adults who want to explore their inner artist in a group setting. Classes will culminate in an end of semester recital and performance. Classes begin the week of April 8. To register and for more information, please visit wwww.whartonmusiccenter.org or call 908 790 0700.

The flamenco workshop led by accomplished flamenco dancer Laura Triano begins Wednesday, April 10 at 6:00 p.m. The workshop focuses on all aspects of flamenco dancing from body to attitude. Students will not only learn a dance, they will also experience the beauty, passion and confidence behind the flamenco style. Tuition is $125 for members and $150 for non-members.

Two introductory group piano classes, one on Tuesday morning and one Thursday evening, are taught by experienced pianist Petra Schemmann. Ms. Schemmann has an extensive musical background. She studied piano at the Music Academy in Basel, Switzerland and piano performance at the University of Washington. Ms. Schemmann holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of British Columbia. Classes on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. start April 9 and classes on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. start April 11. The adult group piano class is for beginners and provides a great environment for those wishing to try something new. Tuition is $170 for members and $195 non-members.
