Old Fashioned Community Band Concert in Maplewood's Memorial Park

Maplewood Community Music will conclude its 2012 – 2013 season with its annual free, family-friendly outdoor summer concert performed by two of its community bands.

Swing Town, Maplewood's own community big band under the direction of Ben Williams, will cool down concertgoers with hot jazz through the decades including classics from the swing era, well-known vocal standards and hidden gems.

Under the direction of Tom McGee, the Maplewood Community Concert Band will perform a wide variety of traditional summer concert favorites including Broadway hits, classical pieces and world-famous marches including Sousa’s The Stars and Stripes Forever.
