Summit's National Night Out

Summit’s Police Department and the Department of Community Programs join police departments from all over the United States in celebrating National Night Out, next Tuesday, August 6th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This will be an evening of fun, education and community on the Village Green in Summit. Rain date set to Wednesday, August 7th.

Come out and enjoy demonstrations and safety information from Smokey the Bear of the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, the Union County K-9 Unit, the Postal Inspection Service and the Federal Bureau of  Investigation (FBI). The Department of Community Programs will be debuting their Gourmet Food Court featuring food trucks from local vendors. Also available will be hot dogs from the Police Athletic League (PAL) and ice cream from our generous sponsor, Overlook Medical Center. Come hungry and enjoy!

Summit's National Night Out will wow kids and adults with:

    Chris Clark’s bike stunt show
    The YMCA’s exercise performance
    A rockin’ performance from NJ’s top cover band, Exit Row.
    Magic show
    Obstacle course
    Bouncy house
    Dunk
    tank

Summit’s trusted local celebrities and other public safety departments will be out with their fire trucks, police vehicles, educational trailers and even a monster truck, with representatives handing out gifts and prizes! See you on the Village Green next Tuesday!
