Walton's "Reading Makes Cents" a success thanks to 16 local sponsors!
Local businesses are helping Walton kids "make CENTS" of reading during Read Across America month.
Sixteen local businesses have helped our Walton kids make sense ...and CENTS ...of putting in some extra reading time this month. To celebrate Read Across America, the classes have been paired with local businesses to encourage the kids to read and foster a little friendly reading competition. As the kids turn in their reading log sheets each week, numbers are tallied and the winning classes are announced in each grade. All students receive a prize just for participating, and the winning classes get a little something special. It's great and fun inCENTive for our youngest students to hit the books! Of course, we couldn't run such a CENTsational (couldn't resist!) program without all of our wonderful sponsors.
