A Township Remebers 9/11 Interfaith Memorial Service & Anniversary Exhibition - Woodbridge

The Woodbridge Interfaith Clergy Council, representatives of the Woodbridge Township Emergency Response community, the Woodbridge Township Veterans Alliance, and the Barron Arts Center will host “A Township Remembers” 9/11 Interfaith Memorial Service & Anniversary Exhibition to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and the heroic actions of the citizens aboard United Airlines Flight 93.

The Woodbridge Township Interfaith Clergy Council will conduct an interfaith service at 4:00 P.M. on
Sunday, September 11:00am at St. Anthony’s of Padua Church in Port Reading. The program stands as a memorial remembrance to the nine Woodbridge Township residents who tragically lost their lives in the 9/11 terror attack and honors the heroic response and efforts of Woodbridge Township First responders.  In
2002, the Woodbridge Township 9/11 Memorial Committee constructed a permanent memorial in front
of Town Hall to honor their memory and sacrifice.

The Barron Arts Center opens a month-long 10th Anniversary Exhibit and Memorial – “In Memoriam:
Creative Responses to September 11” at the Barron Arts Center. The Memorial Exhibition features contributory works by local artists; commemorative posters from the “Voices of 9/11” Group; 9/11 artifacts; and works by guest artists.  Members of the Woodbridge Township community are invited and encouraged to attend the Barron Arts Center Opening Reception and the following Interfaith Clergy Council remembrance program.
